track rod ends how easy to loosen?

I have my car booked in for hunter 4 wheel alignment. When I booked it the garage said often BMW track rod ends seize and if so it will be necessary to replace. This has previously happened on my wifes e91 where they had to be torched until the glowed (which I wasn't all together happy with) to free them up. The design for the E85 is different. I am currently liberally spraying them with WD40 to make them easier to adjust.

Has anyone had a problem with them seizing?

Just had an alignment and have done the same as you, two days spraying penetrating oil ...... undone with ease

They do seize but spraying with penetrating oil will help. What helps more is applying copper grease when assembling them.

PS I have experience of garages claiming that the rear adjustment bolts are seized when they are not so spray some penetrating oil up there as well

Same here. Mine was stuck one side and had to be replaced, according to my alignment chap it's a BMW thing particularly on the near-side which I assume picks up more crap.
