Tracing water into boot

Hi,
I've noticed some water in the central compartment of the boot after rain or a washing - it only seems to be in the central compartment and I've tracked it down to coming out via the folds I've highlighted in the image...I'm not 100% sure where to go from here though as it doesn't seem to match up with other water issues I've seen on the forums.

I've put some silicon around the screws holding the light trim in place so far that doesn't seem to have fixed it. Does anyone know where the water is likely channeling from to end up coming out of that fold? - is it worth putting silicon around the boot lid screws too along with the mounting - or is that likely to be coming from somewhere else?

Thanks!

Could be tracking from the seal round the centre brake light when the boot lid is closed. Running from the latch into the panel below it then finding its way out of those seams?

Thanks both. I did replace the 3rd brake light last year so, will take that off and try resealing it, just need to wait for some rain now!

I had exactly the same issue, it was coming in via that aperture but on the other side and dripping into the battery compartment, luckily I spotted it before it got any electrics wet. I checked every possibility including the rear tail light seals, the seals around the air vents, the 3rd brake light etc.. and I fixed it by lifting up the rubber boot seal and I applied some silicone sealant before re seating it back in place, I didnt hold much hope but luckily it fixed it and my boot has been bone dry even when its lashed it down. I hope you get to the bottom of it.
