Stems from when my nana took me out for a drive round the estate - in her pink suzuki vitara soft top .. with cheesy pop songs blaring out the speakers. I was about 14 at the time.
First car was a Micra, won't go into too much detail, went for a look around a car supermarket with my dad when I was 18 and bought my first convertible, a Ford StreetKa, being a convertible and having heated seats I absolutely loved it, had the roof down that much during the colder weather I cracked the back plastic window.
Went back to the same car supermarket 2.5 years later, saw the Z4 and knew I had to have it. Phoned my dad up to come and have a look/test drive it, his last words before ending the phone call were "have a look for something more sensible". As if. I would never have anything but a convertible.
