Just bought a set of oem 17" 276 wheels and vreds wintracx tyres for the winter... my car has TPMS so can I use these wheels without or will the car system go bonking blinking
to tell me... or do I need one for each wheel also cant find them on real.oem

I Belive TPMS measures the wheel rotation and resistance, not actual tyre pressure to detect a puncture etc.

Once you reset the system to the new wheel/tyre combo you should be fine. Give it a try! :)

TPMS in Europe uses the ABS sensors, change your wheels to your hearts content!

Only US have proper TPMS transmitters fitted inside a wheel.

Don't ask me why its different for different markets, no idea...

Mine kicks off every time I wash the Zed unless I keep the snow foam away from the calipers :( Looks like I will have to get all 4 sensors changed unless the dealer can tell which one is dodgy

When you re-set the sensors, are you meant to drive? I thought you were meant to start the calibration stationary, then start driving, so it can work it out.

However, last weekend I did both the Z and the 1'er. Both of them (idrive) said to initialise it while stationary, which I did. However, if I then stayed stationary for a while, it still completed.

How does it work?
