Am i right in assuming there are no tpms sensors needed in the wheels of early e89s. If i bought new wheels they would be plug and play as the tpms is working from the wheel speed sensors? Im pretty sure this is correct but before i commited to a purchase Id like to be sure I wouldn't need to pony up a few hundred quid more for some posh wheel valves

My e89 is a September 2013 lci car & doesn't use tyre pressure sensors

.... and my E89 is March 2015 and I do have TPMS sensors in each tyre. I recently ditched the runflats and bought new sensors on the basis that they are sealed units, the batteries are said to last 5 to 8 years and knowing my luck a battery would fail the week after I'd fitted the new tyres :lol: I sourced a set of 4 oem sensors for £115, no need for coding, the car just sorts it all out when you reset the tyre pressure monitor in the car.

I think the active type came in 2014, the car I had was built mid October '14 and had them.

I seem to recall April as being the intro month but am not fixed and firm on this.
