TPMS reset confusion - SORTED

Well, I got the car out to head to the monthly East Anglian meet, checked the tyres as I know I am losing a bit of air from the rear left (suspect poor beading seal).
Sure enough, had to stick about 4psi in it.
Then backed it out of the garage onto the drive and the 'Low Tire' warning came on for the rear left.
Pressed the reset and set off. But it doesn't seem to be resetting. When I press the reset it said 'Reset' on the screen but also said 'Low Tire' above it.
Cannot seem to get it to go away.
Got to the meeting and checked the pressures. All 4 spot on.
On the way home the warning was still there, so I did another reset and got the same result.

Any ideas? Seems to have a latched fault?

Only thing is, the drive to the meet is around 2 miles at 30 mph. Do we think maybe it needs longer to sort itself out?

Soon changing up to non RFTs so not a major issue...................... as long as it's not a TPMS issue.

Second question: the car is 5 years old and I think these are original tyres, do the TPMS sensors have batteries? Do these need changing?

Thank all

When you look at the car on idrive do you see a car with tyres and flat tyre monitor words or do you see a car with a pressure value on each tyre?

I am a poor relation....no Idrive.
So I get a 'bong' and between the dials I get a red outline of a car with an arrow pointing to the bottom left corner and the words 'LOW TIRE'.
Then I try a reset, get the word RESET between the dials with the select arrow beside it, and above it the words TIRE LOW.
I press the button on the stalk to select reset and set off, but nothing seems to change.

Ok, so I've been Mr Thicky McThick today, but at least I've sorted my issue.

When all else failed I dug out the manual and re-read it.

1. Push the selector on the left stalk until it comes to RESET - yup.

2. Press the button on the end of the stalk to select RESET - yup.

3. Hold the button in for 5 seconds until the yellow warning triangle goes out and it says RESETTING....................aaah!

I blame my 335D and wifey's 220D for having I-drive and getting me out of practice :headbang:
