Toyota Yaris for the Mrs... What are they like?

Any experience with these?
My Wife's mum and Dad both have one and they love them! The buggy fits in the boot etc and plenty of space for our 2 little ones (4 yrs and 8mths)

I've never driven one or been in one! :roll:
 
I have one that has been in the family since it was new 12 years ago. Started as my wife's car before moving on through the 3 children. Now back with me as my daily commute (120 miles). Now done 135000 miles and only real work to date has been a new rad and two near rear hubs.

Extremely easy to drive and very economical. Mix of back roads and motorway returns 55 mpg. Nice high driving position and plenty of space and cubby holes. Use it for airport runs, drop the back seats and pile in the suitcases, no problem.

Mine also has a sliding back seat which is a boon. Latest models do not for some reason.

Obviously does to compare with a Z, but a great little car.

Almost forgot. Tyre prices. All 4 fitted for less than 1 Z tyre.

A friend of ours has one because he can't get his wife and two babies on his motorbike. He's really happy with it. As said, economical and reliable :thumbsup:
 
You never hear any horror stories with them - I quite like them. Brother in law has an aygo now on his second- loves it works great as a short hop into work car.
 
Likewise only heard good things - that particular one looks very good to me, not really looked at the newer ones but looks good value for money!
 
Great little car. easy to drive, economical and extremely reliable. my mum has one for 10 years with no issues at all!

My wife has got the turbo diesel and loves it. Very economical, £35 road tax, loads of room and storage and will cruise all day at 90, if you were able to :wink:
 
My parents had the "sporty" model...
I found it gutless and I hated the driving position and it's tractor length gear stick :fuelfire:

But then again, it's not my kind of car...
 
Went to see it today, was very impressed with it (these things are relative!) so drove it away for £4850!
