Towing with a Z4....

Hi all,
Don't laugh I am serious....

Back from Cornwall after 10 days camping with my daughter. Went in my 5 series touring because we needed the immense space needed for all the vast amount of clobber you need to go camping and bodyboarding. But once tent up, car empty, would have loved to have had the 35is around the roads in Cornwall and Penzance with the roof down rather than the 5'er
So got me thinking.... How about towing a trailer with a removable towbar on the Z? Is this a conceivable prospect?
Steve

there are specialist people out there that do this sort of thing and make tow bars for anything - i was only the the 3rd in the country to put a tow bar on a soarer - unsurprisingly the soarer world was just as scathing - but i didnt give a rats arse - as i said - do you prefer i sell my soarer and leave the community so you feel better - and.. i pulled my caravan with it - oh the fun i had watching folks faces as i out dragged people with a large caravan on the back was priceless ..

I'm sure if I can fit a tow bar and tow a trailer with my 1ton 100 bhp Mazda 2. The E89 should rock at it.

As for being seen towing a trailer in a Z4. Not so sure about that.

Hmmm, maybe I will scrap this idea then :) Also, maybe the Insurance company could take a dim view of a car that is not rated for towing.
I have another idea I will start a new thread on.

how about buy a trailer, and tow the z4 behind the 5 series? that's the usual way of taking your fun car with you on a camping trip.

Or maybe one of those rubber face masks, a false moustache and a wig!

I’m sure someone had a tow bar of sorts fitted to their e89 on here some time ago... for the use of their bike rack ?!
