after leaving the house at 7.30 this morning, 1 bus, 4 trains, a 20 minute walk and then 3 hour drive home i finally have my z4, 3.0 si sport auto, exterior in pretty good shape, the usual stone chips to the front lower, interior minging, why do people try and sell their car like this? i made him take a further 50 quid off the price for a full valet but even after a mini valet at the local tesco i am going to need a few hours tomorrow to bring her up to scratch.

drives lovely, had a play around with the flappy paddles, not so sure about them lol, car has jinglang or summat run flats on it... oddly didn't experience any tramlining at all which surprised me as its mentioned so much... anything to do with the m sport suspension? which again i was slightly concerned about but its absolutely fine, sure if u hit a big pothole there's a bit of a thud but hey its a sports car.

better pics will follow when ive properly cleaned her... anyhow off the detailing forum, got my work cut out tomorrow :D



 
looks like a nice canvas to start from if you're looking at a detail. Luckily for you the silver will hide many sins as well. Looking forward to more photos.

So... Three months on and loving this car... I will probably sorn her at the end of December and be back on the road in March when i hope to drive over to Denmark.
After topping out my budget and not planning any mods I have so far...

Refurbed the wheels and fitted Vredstein ultrac vortis
Obligatory stubby :D
New roof motor relocated to the boot
Afe induction kit
Gaptech rch+ roof module
MM Exhaust tips
Aux in fitted

Next week it will be going in to have a new cat back exhaust to unleash the straight six soundtrack
In the new year spacers will be going on to improve the stance

Hopefully then it will be just enjoying the drive for a while... Although im not discounting a remap, suspension refresh including coilovers and having the seats retrimmed in two tone leather... Oh gawd what have i done :rofl: :driving: :D :thumbsup:
