Hi

Anyone else interested in the Tour de France

Cav's not riding

Froome is recovering from his crash

Could be interesting as it looks like it could be a little bit more open his year,

My favourite 3 weeks of the year!
Think it'll be an interesting race , really need riders to be given the green light for more breakaways, a bit more excitement instead of a procession . A bit like F1

It's awesome. Followed it since the Lemond/Hinault era. As a man who can put out 250lbs of "power" just standing still, I'm never going to scamper up the Tourmalet like Albuterol Clentador, but I love the whole spectacle. Saw the Grand Depart in Leeds 2014 and visited the finish in Aubenas 2009 (Cav was dragged over a cat 2 to win) and you marvel at the logistical achievement. This year has been superbe so far with T. De Gendt, Julien Alaphilipe, Sagan (as usual) and a win for S. Yatesey. Time trial today, then the Team Ineos Show starts tomorrow. I hope some of the other teams can put the willies up 'em a bit and make the final finish on the Galibier an epic .. sorry to go on a bit, but I can't help it.

There's still that pesky French man to get passed first. He appears stronger than last year.

But you are right of course.

ITT on now 11km to go for that pesky French man

Thomas was up at the intermediate spilt by around 7 seconds as the clock was against the best rider that had already finished

So Thomas could take Yellow today

Can't Argue with the clock. :o

Game on. Gareth says the Pesky French man.

Bring on the mountains. :D

It's been pretty special so far! I started developing an uneasy feeling of suspicion when I saw Alaphilippe's performance today. I'm sure he's on the right side of the rules, but I think he shocked everyone today by posting a time like that, being a climber and not an outright power rider! He's a real bundle of energy and charisma :driving:

Let's put suspicion to the back of our minds.
Great unexpected result today , fed up of the Cobblers that has blighted this sport since it began! Can only enjoy it and hope its legit.

He is a talented Frenchman, in a Yellow Jersey. Remember the Brits during 2012. The local support and motivation is a very real performance boost. The question is can he recharge the legs and repeat for the rest of the tour. Or will the wheels come off. We shall see. :)

Today has 2 big climbs and is a short stage so it could be very interesting or just a controlled just sub max effort and all the GC riders finishing together hoping for GT to push hard with his team early then again on the final climb

I'm loving watching Alaphilippe shaking the Tour up, especially as he isn't a diva. He just gets on with the job & you even see him working for his team when needed. As Thomas Voeckler found out, wearing the yellow jersey as a Frenchman gives you a massive boost.
Also loved seeing Peter Sagan doing a wheelie over the line at the top of the Tourmalet.

Yes. The most entertaining race in years. Sagan and Alaphilippe the perfect ring masters. As for the the power of the Yellow Jersey. I believe the term is... a certain, je ne sais quoi. :D

Alaphilippe excellent yesterday, he's just what the tour needs, think the weight of being champion is weighing a little heavy on Thomas's shoulders!
Who knows....but the next few day's will be telling.
Sagan just makes me smile...great rider.
