Looking on Freecycle earlier tonight I saw this person offering an Iphone 5 for free.

This is what they wrote:
"I bought this iphone 5 as a gift for my son but he failed his exams so im giving it away it has a scratch on the screen so I couldn't return it and then I realised some worthy kid might deserve it so im giving it away"
 
Seems so - I never had to bribe my children to do their best. The lad may be a toe-rag or he may have tried his utmost.
 
Indeed. A friend used to be bribed to do well by his dad. When I bought my first motorbike I went around to see him and his dad asked if my father had bought it for me for doing well in my exams. :wkr:

That's what I wondered but it might not be A levels or GCSEs. Interesting to know how many begging emails they get.
 
So... do I understand all of the above in saying do well, get a reward... do badly you still get a reward.

Sounds like you lot all work for the UK's Social Services
