Touch-up paint for black rims?

I've got a few tiny marks on black rims - not bad enough for a refurb but has anyone successfully used touch-up paint? If so what type?

mask off a section like a whole ' spoke' area and rub down and spray with can. I have done it on a silver wheel and it looks ok. I used titanium silver which was a close match for me. With black go to halfords and pray you pick a good match.
I took my wheel off took it to work and sorted it. If you spray a whole symmetrical area you should be ok. Few coats of laquer to .

I used model paint on my old rims, like Humbrol or such. Worked surprisingly well.
