total closure

Do Z's have total closure on the fob when locking the doors just tried mine holding the lock button down with the windows down but nothing happened :?

From what I can gather off this Forum, it all depends on the model Pre - Post Facelift, SE - Si etc.

There are a couple of threads on what is and is not available to be programmed, some of it fairly recent if you do a search, I think it was either The Stig or Nerra that started it and in there somewhere is a full list of options.

What do you mean by total closure? The roof as well? If so then you will probably need an independant with the Autologic equipment to be able to enable it. The dealers dont seem to want to do it for health and safety reasons

.....or fit a Reinhold module that closes the roof, winwows and locks the doors or does the full reverse all from the key

Got my module from a guy called Andreus at cabrio module... great service...GOOGLE It

Same person - he's Andreas Reinhold. Designs and makes them and aslo trades under a couple of names.

cheers for that i was on about closing the windows but if i can get it to open and close the roof thats even better

Alot cheaper though if your local indi with an autologic can do it though. Its the first thing i got done on my Z4, cost £40 and took about 15 minutes, also got some other things turned on like the 3 flash indicators, audio warning when alarm is activated etc..

Agree with you there. I was specifically suggesting it as an alternative as IIRC in the past some have really struggled to locagte an Indy that has the kit or equipment to make these changes.

correct me if I'm wrong but dont you heave to keep the button on the key pressed down for the indi programmed option, which I fount to be a PITA when using the open option that came as standard on mine.

This is true.

Then the Reinhold has a real advantage in that 3 blips and the whole cycle runs. I just love the ability to 'blip' from 20 to 50m away and by the time you reach the car the roof is down and windows set. Also looks cool as you walk off and it all closes up. How it should be really.

Their other one touch module is good too, allowing just a push of the inside button to cycle the roof instead of having to keep it depressed while possibly trying to drive off.

will check out my local indi next week it would also be great if i could get the 3 ind flash option liked that on my 120d can you not get into any options on the dashboard
