Torx bit size question

Changing the belts today but before starting I'd like to know the torx bit size required for the tensioners, I've bought the Halfords advanced set which go up to T55, a search online gives differing results. I'd like all the bits I need before pulling the fan off etc

OK but I would just try the ones you have to see if you have the correct sizes. I have the Halfords Advance set and have never needed a size not included on the strip.

Just FYI, all of the aluminium bolts (like this one) are single-time use, and should be replaced with new ones - never reused.

I would probably grab a new one, and then check against that before starting the job.

The torx I was using was on the tensioner, to take pressure off the belt, not remove it. It was a T60, and luckily I had one, would have been nice if it slotted straight in, but that would be too simple, about an hour f'in about trying to get the bit to seat and 10 mins to change the belt, idler pully a little noisy so I get to do it all again when the parts arrive, oh the joy.

Don't you just love working on cars?

I changed an intake boot this morning.....simple job. Nope. Because someone had put the jubilee clips on with the drive nuts at an angle that couldn't be accessed without stripping half of the intake manifold side of the engine down. Took 3 hours. Should have taken 15 minutes.
I hate cars!

Probably faster to just cut them off and replace them
🤷‍♂️

The 55 didn't touch the sides,
Strangely, NewTIS just says turn the tensioner and insert the locking pin. No mention of Torx bit size?
I didn't know the size but I knew it was the biggest one in my socket set.
Just checked; yup, T60.

I'm getting same set and have added the T60 separately as that's what we used on my N52 E89
