Does anybody know the recommended torque settings for the strut tower bolts, for that matter is there a list of torque settings for the car, just the popular ones like sump plug etc

hi matey, hope all is well......

32nm is what your figure your after :-)

dont forget to buy afew extra as these are one use... after theyve been tightened once they deform and "lock" so just keep an eye on Re used ones as they always loosen off.

I have a strut brace to fit, first of the mods I'm not doing :D
I plan to use the nuts that come with the brace unless they look stressed, I always use locktite on suspension and brakes
I'm not expecting any big improvement I just think it finishes off the engine bay and can't hurt

imo the strutbrace is a definate worthwhile thing to do... i 100% noticed a difference on the track...... on road it made not a smidge of difference.... locktite will definatly do the job :-)

Can you just order these bolts with a BMW dealer?

I could but won't if the only reason for change is the lock method. I'm an engineer and from north England so don't like to be told not to do something without an explanation ( that's the engineer ) and don't like wasting money( that's the northern bit )
If it's not safe or does not look 100% OEM I will not re use them
