After a crap night at work and not much sleep I decided to go for a blast with the roof down. Dry, sunny & 11 degrees! Certainly blew the cobwebs away. Having a go at sorting the wipers tomorrow, hopefully won't break or lose anything!

I drove to a firework display with a mate in the passenger seat and the roof down last night. Amazing seeing all the fireworks above our head.

Then spotted this on a friend of mines twitter page a few minutes later :D :D :driving:

i drove home from work with my roof down yesterday.

my work mates said ''it's cold you idiot''.

do they not realise cars have heaters in them?

was a lovely feeling. toasty bottom and hands and cold face.

Agree with this - lovely cold fresh air for my lungs and the engine.
Lovely warm seats and air vents for my ass and face.

Two Christmas' ago, we had my cousin and his GF visiting us in London from deepest darkest countryside - drove around central London to show them the lights with the roof down. Was perfect - cold, but wrapped up warm. Then the police pulled us over on The Mall to ask if everything was ok...!

 brilliant! #jealous

I drove most of the way to Bristol yesterday with the top down, gloves, hat, quilted coat and heated seats......perfect :D

apologies but when i clocked the post heading i instantly clicked on thinking it was a new post from Carol

I drove a fair bit of the way to Guildford this morning with the roof down - lovely crisp sunny morning, and a whole 5.5 degrees. The default position is down - in fact new convertibles should be handed over to customers at the dealerships with the roof down, just to emphasise the point :D

I got a few strange looks from other drivers, could of done with a hat what with having no hair! I spent the last 30 odd years on bikes on and off so it was good to get some cold air in the face.

Providing its not raining/snowing heavily there is NO reason not to have the roof down

One of my most memorable drives - snowing but not settling - it was amazing having the flakes flying around the cockpit!

What temperature is going to crack the hood fabric if it's retracted? It's pretty cold up in the North East and I don't want to damage it! Thoughts :!:

If its dry the tops down, did a cruise round wales last Jan -8 degrees ,followed by a trip up to whitby at a troplcal -2 .must admit tho you do get a few funny, envious looks :D
Buts what the point of a roadster if you ain't gonna use it

I think the system refuses to work at -20... But tbh I wouldn't operate it frozen / frosty. I have been known to put luke-warm water on my frosty roof and towel off the resulting cold wetness to dry it a little. Lives in the garage now, so no issues with frost 8)

I have had the roof down when ever I can. Still just in my first month of ownership. I love the looks you get from people on cold days. You know they re thinking he must be freezing what a fool. But they don't know ow much fun we are all having :D 8) :driving:

My zed is tucked up in my mates garage at the moment having 2 coats of fabsil water proofing on the roof ready for the winter. My garage is full of motor bikes so I couldn't treat her in mine.2nd coat tomorrow then 2 new rear tyres going on thursday.
I've been looking for a hard top,but you have more chance of finding rocking horse poo
