:trampoline: The 2.0 base, or 2.5 unit Greg..?

Sadly my financial limitations see me stuck in the lowly 2.0

Just shy of 300bhp is hardly ‘Lowly’...! More fun than the 2.5 id reckon, they’re just silly in reality. You’ll be able to use more of the revs in more gears.

Let us know your thoughts ASAP if you will sir.

Absolutely. Updates throughout the day!

One word. "Wow"

Can't say I'm disappointed in anything so far. This thing is so precise in every way

Quick initial thoughts...

- Very comfortable ride with PASM even on 20s
- Cupholders are best in class
- It's leagues above every car I've ever driven in pretty much every way
- Engine note, while no 6cylinder is not disappointing to my ear whatsoever
- Power delivery is unreal. Instant and just keeps going
- Not a massive different with PSE on. It maybe even makes it sounds slightly less good.
- Such a lovely place to sit
- My kids love it

nice colour that :)

Photos just don't do it justice. In the flesh it's particularly special!

Just to clarify it'd be a Boxster I'd buy. I just took their Cayman tester to try out the engine

Good news is that I don't see why you wouldn't love it so I think I'm gonna go for it :D

Pleased for you Greg.... As I said it didn’t suit me but hopefully it did you so that’s good news. :driving:

Pics when I arrives please.

For sure. Might be a few weeks though as planning on holding for a Miami Blue, although there's a lava orange coming into group stock in a couple of weeks which I also quite fancy

It would have to be a Cayman for me as a 3 times E86 owner!

But it looks fantastic in that colour - hope you had a great day with it.

I almost bit the bullet today on a 19 plate with only 7k on the clock but it was in silver so my head beat my heart and I decided to hold off for a colour. Guys at Porsche have been great keeping me up to date with all the trade-ins

Lava orange due in 2 weeks though so hopefully the spec is right!

Ah now then Greg, what spec are you holding out for..? Some very nice bits can be thrown on them. Personally adaptive cruise and PSM would be crucial, the Burmester is a damn good system but rare as a truthful politician. They ride very very well on 20’s but PSM is well worthwhile.

PSE now standard on the 2019+ models so should be fine there, as is PCM from what I gather. I also didn't even switch.the PASM on last weekend and I felt the car ride very well on the 20s

PASM I'm 50/50 on to be honest. The dealer said the difference isnt that noticeable and I worry that it's a very expensive system to fix if it was to go wrong. I imagine it's very subjective.

Cruise isn't a deal-breaker for me. I had it on my E89 and I never used it once the whole time I owned that car (other then playing with it on the first drive home).

Lots of the later cars I've seen have chrono but to be honest I don't really ever see myself making use of it at all while I'm posing around the streets of Edinburgh :D

Full leather a bonus. I'd love a black/crayon interior. It they're also very rare.

I'm a music guy but don't tend to listen to music in the car much so stereo upgrade also not a deal-breaker.

Basically I wanna just look like one fly-ass mo'fucka in a wildmobile

I must add that the alcantara interior of the GTS I sat in was also quite special. Normally not a fan at all!
