Topic locking is getting popular...

It's an interesting observation Maniac, I was thinking the same thing myself last night. There are topics which will always get locked or moved to the secret forum where the mods laugh at them later -
- topics relating to pirated software - usually navigation DVDs
- where we get multiple topics about the same thing at the same time - imagine how many there would be if say, Zagato brought out a Z4 :roll:
- where someone posts something for sale - then posts in the other sections to let people know they have an item for sale
- all "where is Jonny Essex, has anyone heard anything?" topics - which should at least stop now he has returned
And after that, it's really only the ones which get out of hand or have too many personal attacks in them, and usually the mods will ask everyone to play fairly before locking it if the topic continues in the same manner.
I think/hope that most on here would agree that mods very rarely intervene, and the forum is generally left to be self-moderating. If anyone does take exception to a post, just use the "report post" button and the mods can review it, there is the same facility for reporting PMs as well.
