TopGear (Take3) starts tonight (05-03-17) BBC2 8pm

Really like it, chemistry will come with familiarity, liked the Kazakhstan slot and that crash had me blaspheming out loud with the suddenness. There was more than a few chuckle moments, especially with Chris in the GT (love the monkey anyway), great idea BTW on how to reboot it and a little more challenging than last year.

Just watched it & really enjoyed it, I think the chemistry between the guys was ok & will properly come with time.

In summary, there was nothing about the show that I didn't like, unlike Grand Tour, why do they persist with the dead celeb piece.

Didn't realise there was a new series starting so will be one for iplayer tonight...

Honestly doesn't bother me if the comedy/banter is all scripted after all that's what Matt is famous for delivering so long as they put a bit more focus on the cars than the other lot on Amazon its gonna be a winner for me

Recorded the first episode but after the negative feed back did not bother watching it. Doing the same this time and will wait to see what the general comments are before deciding if it's worth watching.

Your loss , it was a major improvement on any of last seasons episodes & fine fodder for petrolheads :driving:

Well episode two is off to a fine start. Harris just crashed a very shiny new Alpha. That's his no claims fooked.

Just got round to watching the first episode and really enjoyed it. I even laughed a few times which I didn't expect...the new format really works for me as there was no boring talking to a celebrity for too long wasting time on cars! Looking forward to week 2.

I enjoyed that they are slowly bonding and there is no doubt that Harris is a seriously good driver.

I REALLY enjoyed Episode 2 tonight ! Thought it was excellent. 8 out of 10 from me !

Yep same here , its going well id say & for now there's nothing annoying me to want to record & fastforward .
I guess there will always be a element of "been there done that " as with tonight's supercar snow scene but so what , it beats Call the Midwife :D

It was rather good. Two down and looking forward to number 3.

I like it. However none of them are naturals in terms of presenting.

Chris seems a little anxious and Matt is almost horizontal in his delivery. The other guy (don't know his name) is almost a none requirement in the role/script he has been given.

Just read in the news. Do you think chris harris knew he was insulting David Tennant's father-in-law with the Peter Davidson comment??
I thought episode 2 was another good showing and i certainly don't miss the over-inflated egos of the previous three presenters. I think given time the 3 new boys will gel and become more comfortable in their roles and we should see this on screen as a better performance.

Really? Seems absurd to me, but each to their own. p100.gif

I actually quite enjoy it but they do seem to drag out the special trips sometimes, find myself hitting the fast forward button occasionally

OK so I watched it and apart from the Alpha wished I hadn't bothered. Very stilted and over rehearsed but handy being able to press the fast forward button when the presenters were talking. Can only get better surely?

Caught up on iPlayer tonight. I found the features good - liked the Alfa and supercars. Star in the car was a bore but then I never really liked that in the previous incarnations. The banter between the 3 stooges is still a little hit and miss, but the programme was enjoyable overall.
