R26-R returned today for some extra PPF work. Unfortunately some sort of leak from the roof of the parking garage its in had built up a layer of rock solid concrete with like a limit stone etching on the freshly detailed bootlid which the customer didn't realise was happening, its been sat for a week or so while this happened, Could i get this off??? Nope... Hit it with everything, rotary, D,A most aggressive compounds. The last option was Wet sanding , which isnt my fave method due to the aggressive nature of this process.... Customer pretty much about to accept a full repaint on the trunk lid, we move to the 2000grit paper on our Nano machine and we both watched as we slowly saw the concrete being removed... Polished the paint back over 2 stages!! Back to a mirror!! So pleased and saved this customer a fortune. So stressed during this process i didnt take a single pic! Hopefully the customer will add some feedback on today!

Would anyone be interested in a back to basics detailing day??? Basically a days training course covering full decon, polishing , waxing etc?

Sounds like a possible West Mids meet to me? Would this be group based or one on one, and what's your thoughts regarding costs?

Was thinking of running a proper 1 day certificated course for groups maybe 4-8 people.... Buy an old scrap vehicle for the polishing stages... Costs wise maybe something like 100PP , and maybe do an advanced course that covered everything plus rotary polishing, ceramic applications, wet extraction of seats, using PDG, pad and compound selection and much more.... Most back to basics courses seem to be pretty expensive.

In terms of a meet version, could do a meet version as planned before with the cars and coffee type thing... thats something that will defo happen, and i will definitely be getting an XMAS meeti in December no doubt... I really want to involve people in what im doing and share it really and offer insider info, tips tricks of the trade.

ive had a few calls about it now so thought id ask if anyone here would be interested?

HEADLIGHT RESTORATION.
This bmw would have failed its MOT definitely due to the degradation of the light lens. These light units are not cheap to replace . The customer brought it to us to work our magic.... We wet sanded them down over 3 stages with our nano machine , then polished them back to clear over an additional 3 stages and lacquered them to protect the new finish. The car will now pass it's Mot saving the customer £££s.
