So the time has come to replace my front top mounts. :?
I have searched for many different replacement parts for my 2006 z4 2.0 but was wondering if there are any upgraded ones that can be purchased?

Can anyone help and advise what is the better ones to get? And where would be best to purchase

Cheers
Jon

Hi Jon im also interested in this, I fitted Meyle HD mounts but am not happy with them as there seems to be movement when hitting small bumps in the road. Looking to replace but finding it difficult to get any uprated parts

No one?

What does everyone think about these : http://www.bc-racing.co.uk/applicat... come with top mounts for the front and rear.

They're meant to move a bit, as well as being a bearing, they isolate the chassis from some of the dampers/road vibrations just like all the other suspension bushes and mounts .

FWIW there's little to choose between Meyle & Lemforder, anything else (Other than a quality adjustable unit) isn't worth wasting money on (They are pretty cheap anyway- £35-40 a pair).

From my understanding the rubber is supposed to absorb the vibrations where as the Meyle ones seem to make it more noticable than when I had the OEM ones on

Im thinking of giving my suspension a full overhaul with my top mounts so I've looked at these as they come with top mounts for the front and rear.

For the money you can't go far wrong. They're decent quality and the aftersales in the UK is excellent (I know the distributor, he also does K-Sport and Ohlins).

Edited to add that the pictures are a bit misleading as BR series actually comes as a separate spring/damper for the rear like OEM.

Are you sure they're installed correctly?
I have no experiece with the meyle topmounts in particular but I wouldn't expect them to be different in any way.
Afaik the meyle front top mount is Meyle (not meyle HD) and the rear one is meyle HD (meyle HD means slightly different construction to improve lifespan, normal meyle is usually a 1:1 copy from original).

Hi GuidoK yes my local indy fitted them and he did pass comment that they didn't look as good quality as the OEM ones. He said that there was a little lateral movement which isn't ideal.
Your right they are not HD just normal Meyle
