Top motor relocation problems

So I got my new to me e85 3.0si. I'm working on getting the top motor out as it seems to be giving problems and the top doesn't want to move. I managed to crack open the housing and I can see the motor, but I can't get the motor out, I know there are supposed to be some zip ties to cut, but I can't for the love of God find them, are there any photos or drawings to explain how to get the motor out? I'm using the boot method instead of removing the whole top

Take a look on. YouTube a few guides on there it's a pig of a job

I done mine recently, it was a horrid job. My arm was lacerated all over it and it took all my strength to get it out.

I didn't have one at the time, so used my phones camera to get an idea of what I was doing, but I'd suggest buying/borrowing an endoscope, so you have an idea of what you're doing. Also get some long handled snips to cut said cable ties.

I also recall there was a "tray" (bottom of the case) at the bottom that the hydrolic lines went under, the tray was cable tied at the bottom to the chassis. I could get the motor out to a point, so had more space, but the tray was in the way to see the cable tie.

Hard to see…

The left of the photo is the rear of the car. The pipes went down the front of the tray, under it and the pipes closest to the camera and then coming out and to the motor.

My best tool was the scissors, to cut the ties.

google image to show the bottom with the pipes and cable tie. There was more than 1 cable tie on mine, 1 was definitely attached to the body/chassis.

I gave up and took the roof off. Mine had been replaced in the past and had 2 sturdy cable ties. Also the bottom of the housing had a screw going through it as in the picture. I will put a few images up that may help you visualise the setup. The cable ties are already removed in the images. I
managed to get the top off the motor housing with the roof still on the car. I then manage to pull the motor towards the boot a little but the pipes still went under the housing. I could not break the housing free and in the end removed the roof. The previous post shows the cable tie and how it all sits when in the car. My first few images show the housing with the cable tie cut and the housing has rotated on the screw. My images are in reverse order.

The video here shows the screw and the cable tie.

I’ve relocated only one motor, but found scissors with an usb camera taped on handy when cutting the cable ties. Imo plenty of hydraulic lines to damage if done blinded.

smart idea, I didn't have my endoscope at the time, so was doing it blind. my scissors barely cut the cable tie, so no chance on the lines!

Thanks guy, i ended up forcing the motor out by pure strenght lol. It was soaked but still running, I refilled with hydraulic fluid because it was empty, tried closing the top and had no luck, i saw some wet spots on the left side of the car so I assume my roof pistons are leaking, I'll probably leave the car on a mechanic to get it fixed at this point haha
