It's back, oh yes.

Actually what a great show tonight, however I feel the stig should remain annonymous for the sake of the show no Idea what that was all about with michael schumacher, unless he just wanted to put his fxx around the top gear track and that was the only way they could air it?

Sadly its always only a handfull of shows but without a doubt the only thing worth watching on a sunday night for the next couple of months.

Lucky to catch it, I did nt realise the new series had started and just happened to switch on, (not much into old bikes and steam trains anyway supposed to be a car show) thought the James May thing afterwoods was better though..... He s a top bloke without Clarksons arrogance and a lot more humble..... (Do you really think schumacher has been the stig all along or arent they just winding us up again.
Can t comment on whole of programme of course, missed first 30 minutes... What happened

Nooo we all know the stig is really ben collins not michael scumacher.

I have been known to stand in for him on occasions tho

Really enjoyed it as always. Looking forward to the rest of the series it looks great

I'd love to see a car review at some point tho... :tumbleweed:

Agreed. It's good to have them back though and i thought the whole Stig reveal thing was hilarious! The 1940's race wasnt anything to write home about though..

Looking forward to the rest of them.

Yes would be nice one that actually looks at the car for what it is not what Clarkson thinks of it he is just a badge snob.

Did enjoy tonights show which makes a change although i had been drinking most of the afternoon :D

I dont know guys... is Michael REALLY the stig?

My guess is that they brought him in for one day to do the interview and drive the Ferrari. As its a $1MM car, and I doubt Ferrari was willing to let just anyone drive it. Makes sense, right - who better to drive it than Michael because of his connection to Ferrari.

Also, if you watch the credits, it lists Michael as the guest and the Stig separately. I bet the Stig will be pissed off next episode for the impersonator?! :)

The FXX in the show was Michael Schumacher's own car (the only black FXX with no white strip). Even Stig was not allowed to drive his car.

I've been saying for a long time the whole point of the Stig is that you get cars like the FXX where no one else is allowed to drive them but one person representing the manufacturer, hence the disguise.

I'm pretty sure that 85% of the time it's that Ben chap, but whenever there's a Keoonnigggsegg-wotsit or anything exciting its a manufacturer driver.

Exactly - the Stig is anyone and everyone - its just a disguise! Ive always  at anyone who tries to guess who it is... Was good to see Schumi on the show, even though i hated him in F1. Very very robotic as usual, might as well have FIAT tattoo'd on his forehead

I don't think Schumi is the Stig. I mean the guy is more than that. Why waste time (and money in that regard) driving cars for a TV show?
