Top gear tonight

Not seen most of the last series yet. Thanks for the heads up. Will try and catch it. :D

Apparently it’s a British summer holiday with 3 cheep convertibles, no doubt they will be full of camping equipment and pissing it down :D

Dare I say it....but I think this version is better than the previous with Clarkson and co. I know it’s all still very scripted etc but I never stopped laughing throughout this episode. It’s taken a season but the chemistry between Harris, Flintoff and Mcguiness seems very natural. Chris Harris on the driving range genuinely had me crying with laughter.

Agree, they make the original crew look very stale imho

Sorry, but I got bored very quickly even though it was only on in the background. It became a minor annoyance.
I flipped back to bassdrive.com and trawling the interwebs for cheap parts for the 928.
Not feelin it.
Sue me.

My thoughts too. I was pissing myself laughing at Harris running around in his trex suit

Really enjoyed the episode, Flintoff has certainly got some balls, there’s no way you’d have got me bungee jumping in a metro of a 500ft dam

He certainly has - but did you get a glimpse of the underside of the car? It appeared to be strapped together with a an addition chassis/ structure.

Yes they said something about having a metal frame bolted to the underside. I have no doubt that there was no danger of anything going wrong ( famous last words) but even so to be sat there must have been pretty scary

Thought the episode was brilliant... had my rofl’ing more than I have done at TG in years.

Love this comment... at one point when I was looking at the setup, I thought “wouldn’t it make for great TV if the rear bumper was the only thing holding it on to the rope, and of course it came off” only then I quickly reflected and thought, “no I quite like Flintoff actually, Chris Evans though... 🤔

I would tend to agree.

Me too, I’d not laughed so much in ages, monkey in a Dinosaur suit being hit with golf balls will live with me forever

I also agree.

I thought it was a fantastic episode and the chemistry between these three is brilliant. I found it tense to watch at the end and Freddie is completely nuts!!

I’m really pleased for them, they’ve really started to make the program their own even if it’s roughly the same strategy:

- 3 blokes poking fun at each other with cars as props
- teaser of what’s to come
- a road trip in old bangers or new exotica
- crazy & meangless challenges
- testing each other’s levels of endurance
- spank a super/hypercar like most of us would like to do but can’t (coz of cash, legality & skill constraints)
- let a professional (Stig) show u how it should be done
- show u shiney new car comparison bling
- remove the odd set piece each series

Was well surprised
