Top Gear this evening

Besides the fact that it was considerably better than last week's episode...

That road they took the F12 on which he said was somewhere near Hertfordshire, does anyone know exactly what road it was on?

...not that I'm thinking a little hoon could be in order or anything

come on guys.....seriously....does anywhere in hertfordshire really look anything even close to that??

lets think about this

top gear??

um..... according to comments all over a facebook feed, everyone else has too... apparently the road is in Scotland - to be honest I knew it was too good to be true.

Best roads near me are the roads between Ockham and Goodwood.

I think it's the A10 between Cheshunt and Hertford

... and if so you must work for the BBC's Top Gear team.

Think the comment about the Old Military Road near Braemar is definitely nearer the mark, certainly looks an excellent hooning road

They don't say where it is as the local council have probably asked them not to. Imagine all the petrol heads suddenly turning up there ruining the local calm because Jezza was blasting a Ferrari up and down?

While we're on the subject, I'll take one please and thank you.

nice looking car- its nice to see a smaller more narrow Ferrari - i even thought the outline looked a little z4c ish

It's not how I remember it - that's more of a roller coaster than a thrash through the valley (Bradders may remember it better, I wasn't on it for as long as he was :poke:). C'mon Scots members, put us out of our misery.

Clocked a f12 in Maranello a couple of weeks ago - beautiful front end, back end not so good.

It was raining so it must have been Scotland. It always rains in Scotland. Problem solved :)

Not quite you know - it's only 24 degrees with blue skies here today and several Scottish forum runs have featured plenty blue skies and good weather.

I can't quite confirm that's the Old Military Road near Braemar - would need to see a rerun - they certainly repeated the same shots a few times but think I deleted it from Sky+ already and was gobsmacked when Hertfordshire was mentioned - thing is it was so quiet it seemed like the road was closed.

I happen to know Cheshunt quite well too so I'm pretty convinced it's not the A10 (I appreciate it was a joke) which oddly a friend of ours' son used to call "the road to Scotland" ! he was young, they were 2 miles from home and he hadn't quite asked if we're there yet. He's now a rather well qualified geologist !

Hertfordshire

I bloody wish...

Watching it on Sky+ now. There is a hotel in the background of one of the shots called the Moulin Hotel. Which is in Pitlochry. So, bits of it could be the military road up towards Glenshee, and a few of those roller coaster sections look familiar, but there are also Lochs along the side of the road in a couple of shots which I reckon must be Loch Tummel and/or Loch Rannoch... Possibly Loch Tay. Doesn't really matter tbh, in that part of the world almost every road is fantastic as long as there's little or no traffic

Now home sick. Again

Just trying to stay sharp J. Controversy is thin on the ground right now, but can't let the skills slip
