Top Gear Is Shite

I reckon the last 3 episodes have been corkers. Not sure what you lot are on about.

I think they try too hard to be 'funny' and some of the cars they make (hovercraft for example) are totally a waste of time!

I wonder how many of the people who post to say how crap it is (not just on this forum) will tune in to the next series and disappoint themselves again!

It is what it is. More of a light entertainment show now. Admittedly, some of it is just plain silly, but the days of it being a pure motoring show are long gone.

And even 5th gear is going the same way - have seen a few articles on there where it just seems to be the presenters on jollies (cart racing etc)...

I always skip the star in reasonably priced pile of junk. No one cares there only there to plug a new movie.
How they didn't get into trouble with the hover van I don't know. It was nice to see tiff needel at goodwood but you'd never clarkson at those places

Sorry, I thought the (slightly ott) patriotic ending forgives the silly bus stuff. Considering where TG gets exported to its putting GB back on the map in Engineering terms and that can only be a good thing (IMHO)

100% with you

I gave up watching a few years back, I occasionally watch it and realise why I stopped watching

Always watch it, interest quotient varies but I enjoyed this weeks with the RR Sport which had a 'proper' test, the magnificent F type and a surprising run down of Brit metal

I'm with you guys on this, we need more people to know just how good we are at Engineering in this country before its too late and everything gets ruined. (aka outsourced to China!)

Enjoyed tonight's episode. How were they allowed to drive F1 cars on public roads?! Looked and sounded awesome though.

I liked it - its not a car review program, they just mess about and get to play with supercars.. and that's fine.

They've improved it in the last few series i think, and i enjoy having a laugh with it on. Frankly i even found their caravan cars review entertaining last week.. they should do more real world stuff mixed with the supercars.

The last ten minutes of the show made me feel proud to be British :)

However, the last ten minutes of the programme that followed "Das Auto - The Germans, Their Cars and Us" left me feeling rather ashamed
But a very interesting programme all the same!
