Top gear alert

Enjoyed the dads car segment - my old man had an Opel Ascona 2.0SR Auto - great car, he only passed his test a few months before me and I had a Cortina 1.6L so brought back memories all round

I watched it for about 20 minutes. It was awful, cheesy, childish. We are paying a licence fee for this rubbish.

Not a fan of the new crew but found the Dad's cars quite entertaining and very touching.

Great episode. Loved the genuine relationship they each have with cars and entertained the whole family. IMO, so much better than the old presenters - constantly re-morphing into pastiches of themselves from 2006 and throwing out old Top Gear phrases on social media like performing monkeys.

Rob

Rob, the Cortina was mine, first car I bought with the help of my dad

Was an enjoyable episode,New Lambo and Dad cars.... good entertainment. Nice to hear about their Dads, and well seeing Harris had the most expensive Dad's car from back in the day.
Interesting to hear his Mum was his inspiration for getting into cars, being a Rally driver

I watched Dancing on Ice. :D

I'll catch TG in the next few days and decide if I made the right choice. :P

(Like I had a choice with MrsG in charge of the remote.  )

Haha,forced to watch?
Nothing to do with eye candy on it,if there is,lol

After all my years with Capris, I took one look at the Cortina pulling away from that shed and thought 'needs the valve stem seals doing'. Good old Pinto engines.

I was forced to watch dancing on ice as i was at my sisters for dinner but she done a lovely roast so it was worth it but did manage to catch a bit of TG with the dads cars which was enjoyable enough on a Sunday evening after a few beers

Nice to see them doing something real other than d!cking around, they still mangaged to do that though with the sitting on each other knees rubbish.

That said, I always watch it, it's a car show.

I didn't watch it until last night as I had a recording conflict on Sunday.

Glad I did though as the dad cars feature was brilliant and for a change really seemed to mean something to all of them.

It meant something to me too as it reminded me I'm getting old - I owned cars of that era, my Dad's were way older! :(
