Tooth hurty

Just bit into something that had a stone in it and broke half the side off of one of my teeth :!: Already has a pretty large filling in which has thankfully so far not moved and at the moment no pain.

Looks like an expensive month :headbang:

Did exactly the same a couple of days ago. Spat out a lump of tooth, I was only eating a pizza at the time.

No pain yet, that will happen when I get the bill. :(

Aint that the truth.
Havent been to dentist in 4 years so expecting the worse.

I had two crowns fitted last week. The prep involved grinding both top front teeth down to slim stumps

Cost me £650, but I do have dental insurance.

Feel for you...

You might get lucky. Cost me only £50 to get my two broken teeth fixed with white filling. Held up for nearly a year so far. Dentist didn't want to crown them.

Blimey Inkeys, you're taking a bit of a chance leaving it 4 years!

It's not just about the teeth, a good dentist will check for oral cancers and other abnormalities within the gob, that's why it's important to go for a check up every 6 months. You know it makes sense

Just never got around to it. Every year I'd think 'I must book something' but it would get left. Consider myself told and planning regime change

Well I'm going for an Apicoectomy at the end of the month :( feel free to google that little bundle of joy lol
oh and I've had a broken needle in one of my roots for over 20 years as the dentist broke it when doing root treatment so he sealed it up as couldn't get it out.

That also needs to get sorted :|

You might be alright inkey, don't think the worst. A bit of composite / white filling on the side if there's enough enamel might tie you over. Crown if it looks like the rest is going to break.

I had veneers, as you know - lasted quite a while. Before that I had white fillings that also lasted... Eventually though my dentist had no choice but to recommend crowns... Though they are not pegged, more like full coverage veneers. When I told him I'd been gluing my veneer back on for 2 weeks he said that was actually the best option in the circumstances. S I didn't need to tell him it was your idea  :D
