You can usually fab up a bush puller with 2 sockets and some threaded bar... Depends what bush and if you want to pull it in situ.
The spring compressors cant really be bodged up.. The cheaper ones are threaded bars with hooks,not ideal but cheap enough to have in your diy toolbox.
The better ones are single sided with cast crescent to compress the springs....Brilliant and work well but very expensive.
