hi,

what tool do you use to drive the break piston back to its default position, so the caliper can be placed once the new pads are installed?

newtis shows the tool used in shops, but it is not available here

I tried using a large flathead screwdriver, but it doesn't really work

thanks

You can remove the electric motor and use a t45 torx to wind piston back in there is a video of YouTube for it. I did it on mine and worked fine

I don't need to remove the motor, since I can get EPB into service mode

but I didn't try simply pushing back the piston, as the guy does it in the video :headbang:

thanks

As said above remove the motor from the caliper and turn it back using a socket.
Do not apply the handbrake until both sides have been fully rebuilt and then press the brake pedal to seat the new pads on the disc before applying the handbrake.
