Just driven home from work, overtaken a car on the near side doing below 80mph, just about to pull back in but hesitated...only to be overtaken by a knob jockey doing what must have been well over 120 given the speed he passed, shortly followed by what I can only assume was his race buddy on the otherwise of me.

So glad I hesitated, but still shook me up & I'm very good with my mirrors & all round awareness, his speed was just excessive & beyond stupid.

Captured on cam, too long a day to post the video up, but wondering if the police would bother doing anything with the footage? Obviously assuming the licence plate was even visible given his speed!

God I sound like a road warrior with a dash cam :P
 
Sending it to the police will probably get no response...

Post it on Facebook and let social media do the work?
 
Why not send the video to the police? You have nothing to lose.

It's crazy things like this that lead to multiple pile ups.

If so I have to say that a fella did this to me many years ago when I was doing 70mph. My passenger, the owner if the car I was driving, reported the incident and I was also prosecuted !
 
I know exactly how you feel - my experience was similar - very early morning about 0630 on motorway after collecting son and girlfriend from airport - I'm doing 80 in inside lane and two bell ends pass me one in middle lane the other on the hard shoulder doing I estimate about 120mph - my car felt like it lifted a few cm and the amount of crap kicked up from the hard shoulder was unbelievable - like a cloud of dust
On that occasions son immediately called the police whilst we were still driving - no reg numbers but distinctive electric blue scooby and a white evo
Be surprised if they are still alive pulling stunts like that

I've been trying to work that one out and am interested to see the answer............
 
Given I'd only recently passed the car to my nearside, I can only imagine the wheel wrenching manoeuvre the driver must have been doing.

I don't have FB anymore, removed myself after the inane amount of rubbish that my friends seemed to post about!
 
Idiotic driving of course and can cause accidents, but frankly this stuff happens every day on the motorways.

I wouldn't waste my time reporting it as they will do nothing as the first challenge is to prove the video is genuine, they don't care as have more than enough of their own incidents, it will just waste your time and you also seem to admit speeding.

The fella that passed me told the police I was holding him up on the outside lane of a two lane motorway. I can say I was not!
He passed me and then had to pull back into the outside lane causing me to brake heavily. He didnt tell them that of course.
The magistrate believed him and I got and endorsement , fine and costs!
I will never freely volunteer information again.
The fella that overtook me did get done also so it was a tit for tat situation - never again I say!

Hells Bells! the moral of that story is never report any motoring offenses !
 
I thought that the moral of the story was "always check you mirrors before changing lanes".

I'd do nothing with it personally, other than upload it to view by those with the link only.. gogogo youtube, we all wana see it now ! :)
