Well Mrs CJ seems to have found some money and want to buy me some new tool chests :)

I fancy some sort of roller wheeled base unit, draws and one I can add to over time and build up with perhaps a smaller chest on top, extension units.

The usual suspects are Halfords and Machine Mart, but has anyone got any recommendations on something that's competitive price, reasonable but not Snap On quality/price and sturdy.

I have the 9 draw Clarke Professional Tool cabinet, which IRC I got from Machine Mart about 7 years ago, it stood up to life in an Engineering Workshop for a few years before ending up sitting on the bench in my garage, it still works as well today as when I got it, it had a sturdiness to it that some of Halfords stuff just did'nt have without being stupid on price.

I would go to Costco (or find someone with a card).

I have the red one they did years ago but they have a stainless one at the mo!

I've got a snap-on and a draper EXPERT one. both of which are great, ball bearing runners and grip mat in the draws. A friend had a cheepy clarke one and it was pants.
Which ever make you go for make sure it's got bearing runners rather than just sliders.
