Took the Z4M to the seaside - what a day!

So, I don't get to use my car much, really just weekends now the evenings are so dark during the week.

So, a couple of weekends ago I took it for a long drive to Swanage and around the coast for the day. What a fantastic day we had. It was perfect. It was warm, the roads were dry and quiet, no queue for the ferry, a perfect lunch at a really nice restaurant on the beach, followed by chasing the steam train at high speed across the twisty country lanes, racing it to the next bridge! We eventually met it at Corfe Castle and managed to get out the car and snap a photo of it coming into the station.

This is what this car's all about for me. Not thrashing it around a track, but cruising quiet country lanes, stopping at the sea front and generally enjoying the beautiful south coast, without the tourists in the way, with the roof down listening to that straight 6! Heaven. The ultimate petrol head day out?

nice one thats what its all about getting the roof down and giving it some ,i have just sold my z3 and bought 2006 z4m roadster in sterling grey i love it performance is outstanding love going round the lanes by us surrounded by country side,its just what you have a car like this for

dont do it keep the car. i will be taking my car around a few race tracks next year my mate has a audi r8 what a car but i am going to give it good go at beating him i really rate these z4m s but some people really moan about them how long did you own your car for.

Not long! About 3 months! Had planned to keep it for a year or so, but this house is too nice to pass up. It's perfect for us.

I've done 800 miles in it and spent £1,500 on bits for it! Not a very wise investment! 400 of those miles were in one weekend trip to Cornwall!!

We're heading up to Scotland next year and staying in a lodge near Loch Ness. Plan to hire a Caterham whilst we're up there!

No, it belongs to a customer I sold a boat to. He's invited us up to stay.

Looks nice Some of the roads up that way are fantastic, it'll be a hoot in a Caterham.
We stayed up there over Christmas & New Year last year and loved it, when we've got a chance would love to go back in better weather to do a bit more walking and driving.

ETA - the trip the other day looked fun. Did you track down the other Z driver on the boat? Did you notice anyone giving you funny looks as if you might be photographing their car?
