Took the plunge...

Had my first real day with my Z4 today. It is a black 2.0 2006 model.

Really happy with the purchase and changing from a seat ibiza I'm definitely noticing the difference.

Looking to get a gap-tech for it, and also a storm Motorwerks gear knob but other than that I'm chuffed.

Anything else worth investing in? And what is the best stuff to use to protect the hood?

Remove those rear mudflaps mate, get some 19" wheels, clay and polish the paint work, stubby, forum sticker, paint ur callipers, new matts, gliptone ur leather seats, clean the hell out of her and the roof, thats a fairly cheap start

Thanks Jonny

I will work my way through these. Any recommendations on with cleaning products for the roof?

The autoglym kit does a pretty good job for £20 or less & it should stretch to around two treatments if you don't go bananas with it

KEEP THE MUDFLAPS !
They look good on a black car and are actually a well sort ofter product on the for sale section of this forum. They work to.

+1 on the AutoGlym, find it on Amazon

ESP has saved me writing exactly the same thing. Only other requirement is to keep the whippy aerial!

If you listen to all the suggested mods on here you won't be able to afford any petrol :D

If you're going to polish the car, it's worth adding a sealant/wax too.

Keep the mud flaps.

Listen to him if you aim to make your car look (trashy like a 21year olds Chavy mobil lol) "Original", Lol.
If you've got original BMW mats and there dirty u can easily shampoo and jet wash them.

Who doesn't like a black Z ? Always classy once cleaned & polished :)
As for what to invest in  got to be a wheel upgrade  they're killing the car

Congratulations on the purchase.

Agree with the comments about alloys.

I changed them on my first zed and it transformed the look

Completed my first clean and polish on it today, complete with hood protection.

Car is spotless under the hood. Fitted a Gaptech RCH+ yesterday and purchased some OEM all weather matts as it didn't have any.

Neighbours are loving the car had a few come and have a look at it when I was cleaning today.

Really pleased with the RCH+ works a treat and soldered it instead of scotchloking.

Got some leather cleaner coming tomorrow so will treat that soon.
