Newbie here. Bought 07 2.0i Sport 2 weeks ago but haven't been able to go too far due to snow. Had to go for 2.0 as insurance for anything else was silly has had car stolen 2 year ago and slid the 320ci into parked car last year (snow again) and did 5ks worth of damage to other car, I need 200quid respray on mine.

So got to drive from Romford to Oxford today, weather wasn't best but car drove brilliantly, didn't get any major tramlining, which concerned me the most, got over 42mpg as well. Had a 3 little rattles, one was either passenger door or glove box, one was next to my ear, so thought it maybe window against the roof (????), last was CDs I have in the storage compartment between seats, may try pad this out somehow.

Car is Silver Grey metallic with 18" M Alloys. Has heated seats, auto lights and wipers, rear sensors , M sport Multi function steering wheel. Black Leather/active sports interior. Bought from Sytner Loughton, was for sale at their Nottingham branch. Was originally up for 16800 in Oct, got it for 13400 including tax, 22500 on clock. Have so far only bought Chrome exausht cover but would like the LeatherZ armrest as at moment that's all I miss from the 3 Coupe.

Will try to post pics but at moment doing all posting from my iPhone as laptop has died. Can't access site from work either, poxy firewall.

Around May/June time want to take 3-4 week roadtrip to Europe, want to get to Mijas on the Costa del Sol to visit good mate. Anyone done anything like this or point me in good direction for a planning website etc????

Welcome had my Zed for 5 weeks now and not had a good run out. Just want all the snow to go and then :driving:

I used to stay at Colliers Row with an ex a few years back, so know the area reasonably well!

With regards to driving to Spain - go for it, I did 3,500 miles or so around Europe in mine this year and loved every second of it. You've really two choices of routes to Spain, either take the Ferry from Portsmouth/Plymouth to Bilbao/Santander, or take the tunnel/ferry across the Dover/Calais route and drive down. Once you factor petrol and acommodation in it's probably just about cheaper to do the longer ferry crossing.

More fun to drive though, great roads, great scenery. Roof down and enjoy!

If you don't mind me asking, by the time you started haggling, what was the advertised price for the car, I'm guessing they'd reduced it since October. I'm hoping to be haggling with with some dealers soon, it's almost time for mu second Z4 :roll:
 
Cheers for the replys. I like the sound of the ferry to Spain, could fit in a few more countries then as well. Could also fit in a ferry to Majorca to see my aunt as well. Just need to convince the misses, she don't like boats!!!!!

Herminator, when I originally see the car end if Oct it was up for 16800, Sytner as most dealers I imagine only keep the cars for 90 days before auctioning them off. Over time it dripped down and eventually was down to 13800. I managed to get them down to 13200 but they wouldn't go any lower. They originally offered me 5850 for my 320ci 54 Plate, 55k. I managed to get that up to 7k. So it worked out my old car plus 6200 and 200 for tax.
