Too sunny for the Zed - A new ownership low.

Let's be clear engineers spend a lot of time and money making sure your car can operate in conditions from Death Valley to Siberia.

Shame on you

I wait for mine to get hot in the sun, then go and cook my eggs and bacon on the bonnet. It was easier on my old Landie though, the M bonnet plays havoc with the eggs.

Stops my frying pan getting worn out though!!!

Maybe you should buy a coupe :D

I can't wait till you buy a Porsche and join PVR, Carol, stark and GBG in telling us all how great they are, and how we should have bought one of them instead :P
 +1
And I thought it was just me.

He knows I'm just pulling his leg, but he is a complete turncoat

You sad pathetic twat.!!!

You get one life and at the end of the day it's just a bloody car. Bet you can't wait to be sat in a nursing home at 75 years of age telling story's of how clean and perfect your car was and how you didn't bother driving it in the sun. :headbang: :headbang:

Slight over-reaction....and completely unnecessary!

But as has been said already, perhaps I could understand if we were in a slightly more extreme climate.

Sure the paint'll get hot, but stick a decent sealant/ wax on it, a bit of UV protection and you'll be fine. The paint won't fade due to a few days in the sun.

I can only assume that no reply from budfox is due to him sleeping during the day so that he can have a nice cool sunless drive at 3:00am. Tomorrow's forecast for Somerset is that it it will be dry at that time.

However I haven't checked out the risk of radiation from meteor storms which could reduce the lifespan of your paintwork by 5 milliseconds. :D

both strong points.

I reckon they get pretty hot. You see shelters for parked cars all around the med. I had a kindle die in the boot in direct sun. And how hot can leather get before it dries out?
