Too good to be true???

Hi all

Was looking through marketplace (not somewhere I would normally look for a car) and I found this.

It looks too good to be true to be honest., what do you all think? It has everything I am looking for?

I would say it looks OK. Not 'too good to be true', as 23is are not exceptionally pricey (generally) and has average miles. MOT history does advise an oil leak and rear brakes but nothing too mental TBH!

Most of the ones I have seen are about £10-11k around that spec. It just seemed to cheap to me but the oil leak may be an issue.

Seems bit strange, is this actually the car being offered.
Loads of scam adverts on market place, just be careful.

Yes I know, there is a 2019 Z4 being offered for £6.5 but there are 2 adverts with the same pics but from different accounts.

This is why I am sceptical buying anything from marketplace.

Why not make contact with the guy and see how it plays out? Just don't hand over any money until you've actually seen the car and the V5 with his name on it.

It is wrong that a private seller doesn't have to divulge this information, yet a trade seller does. :x

But I will be telling you my secret! It is very easy, either go to Gumtree or Autotrader and fill in the sell my car part. In the Autotrader on the menu on the left that comes up after "sell my car" enter the reg and mileage, give in a few seconds and the details in the photo will appear. Simples!

TBH I would have paid for a hpi before committing but that saves me 30 quid or so.

Too true True Blue! I was following a very similar car to mine on Ebay, it sold for £2k more than what Autotrader were suggesting.

Overpriced after what i have seen elsewhere.
Saw one at £6500, 23i, nice condition. Think 90k miles.
Unfortunately these cars aren't popular in that not a large market.

I paid several times £20 a shot for a number of Z4s I was looking at, so this is a useful tip to filter out the red flag ones

Cat S doesn’t mean it can’t be sold. I mean insurance write cars off so easily these days, it’s a scam in my view.
