Picked up my new car yesterday, love it. 2.0i Sport MY08 in metallic black. Ordered a stubby already.

Car is in great condition, the previous owner has really looked after it.

Unfortunately it's a bit wet.

Lovely looking Zed - Have had a 2.0i Sport - great fun and you'll love it - hold on to gears 2 and 3 and you'll find it's got surprising performance .

Good choice!

Your right, carbon black. Had a nice drive back last night after picking it up. Looking forward to taking it out for a proper spin this weekend.

Managed to get out at the weekend.

First job done, turn off transport mode. Was a bit worried about doing it to start with but it was fairly straightforward. Need to look at programming some of the other features.

Stubby arrived but I can't get the old one off, so I've just ordered a new base in preparation for breaking the current one! Plan for this weekend is to clean the engine as it doesn't look like it ever has had any attention.

Best of luck with the stubby, exactly what I am having to do, no idea what causes the ariel to seize solid, shouldn't be corrosion, maybe superglue to prevent theft, despite everything a new base needed. Will try and save the whip though.

To be fair I think it will look better replacing it as it is a bit faded.

First attempt at ever cleaning an engine at the weekend, was probably over cautious but I'm chuffed with the result. I don't think the engine had ever been cleaned was very salty from being near the sea, forgot to get a before photo.

Managed to use SSS to program a few options. Still not sorted aerial, the new base doesn't seem to be the correct size!

I really enjoyed owning my 2.0 litre - yours looks brilliant.

Let us know how you get on with the aerial - considering a change to mine and initially it appears tight too. . . anyone have suggestions?

Engine clean is courageous - nice one!

Looks just like mine (although mine is Monaco blue). What options have you programmed out of interest?

Triple flash indicators, visual lock and unlock, re-lock after time period when nothing is opened, 24hr clock. Well worth £25 for the cable just to fix transport mode let alone being able to do that as well. Not sure if any other settings are worth changing.
