Tomorrow is the day... Hopefully!

On the 23rd of Janaury 2012 I stuck down a deposit on my Z4 and then finalised the paper work for the car the next again Saturday. A mere 8 weeks has passed since then and during that time I have managed to convince a few 1 series to join me and I have also been excited about the car. I have even bought the car a few gifts for its arrival like a Z4 key ring for its beautiful key fob and a stubby Aerial so it doesn't look stupid. It will also have a nice BMW Y cable so it can speak to my iPhone more clearly and become the best of friends. :D

The first step and major worry was selling my 1 series which I done in the first 3 weeks thankfully and not only that, done it for a very good price.

The late wobble with Hill Assist has been a bit of a put off however that's something I am hoping myself and BMW can kiss and make up with tomorrow before I pick up on the car.

I would like to thank the forum members on here as they have all been helpful and of course to Susan Jackson at Eastern who has been nothing short of good with me and Gregg the sales manager.

Pics to follow tomorrow and I am looking forward to finally put the waiting behind me and see my Z4 with my private plate.
 
remember to post loads of pics of it tomorrow.... i will be looking forward to them.... its the only thing that keeps me going until mine arrives :?

Thanks Taz. Not doing much. Wake up, go for a wee, eat breakfast, go to work, write some reports...but thanks for the well wishes :lol:
 
Good luck for tomorrow Keith :) if it wasn't for your post on BabyBMW I might still be driving around in the 1er :)

Mines being built this week so not long now :driving:

Already been treating it to some goodies.....BMW rubber mats and boot mat, just mulling over JustRoadsters clear wind deflector :?

Nice one - must be a great feeling knowing it's so close :thumbsup: I'm almost exactly a month behing you in dates, so I'll hopefully be posting something similar in 4 weeks time! 8)

I'm another converted 1Series owner, and I guess it's only fair that yours arrived before mine (would've been dirty otherwise!!).

Let us know how the call with BMW goes and get the piccies up asap!

Might even play Knife Party - Internet friends in homage to the Z4 forums although I think "you blocked me on Facebook and now your going to die" could be pretty controversial move!

re keyring, i remove my keyrings using the attached key and keep it in the glovebox, keys rattle and bang and are annoying :headbang:
 
Dont know if this goes for car speakers...or in fact if its even true, but I was once advised to play music at low volume for a few hours when the speakers are new to "break" them in.

Could be rubbish, but in a non-technical way I guess it could help loosen the rubber?

When I pick mine up I hope I can put the roof down, but I will be too shy to blast tunes out...need to get used to the poser status first!
