Hi guys I'm after picking of brains again..
I have a tracking issue on the rear of my I sport..
One of my rear tyres is showing signs of high ware on the inside.,only one..
got it replaced last week at a popular tyre garage..
The the uk has..as it's the cheapest place to purchase Bridgestone potenza's currently..
I knew the tracking was out..from the tyre ware .however I didn't trust them to do it...
Anyway ..I know my toe in is out by quite a biton this wheel,
And that the chamber is correct
.(quite high chamber on these)..
I know where the bolts are for adjusting the toe in..they are by the roof top drainage pipe..
But I have a couple of questions..so far every garage has stated I need a special tool to adjust the toe in..
I can only assume it's some sort of jig.that attatches in the area of the two bolts that let's you move the swinging arm in situ before bolting it back up..
1 Has anyone seen one ? Or heard one...
2. I've owned BMW's previously ,and the camber adjustment was on the control arm at the axle.
By way of 2 bolts .one to fasten one to turn to move arm outwards or inwards..
On my z4 just bolts ..no adjustment at the axle.. ?
However the bottom swinging arm at the bottom hub it does have what I expected to be on the axle mounting.
It has an adjustable bolt that would seem to adjust the camber..
So question 2 is..does this adjust the camber....
Cheers all thoughts welcome
