I inadvertently got caught up in the middle of a race between a smash & grabber and some of the Met's finest in St Pancras station and ended up getting knocked off my feet whilst I was casually walking along minding my own business! The policeman apologised, asked if I was ok and I told him to go and catch the bugger! All happened so fast - didn't even see the dude being pursued.

At least you'll have a good story to tell the grandkids :)

Glad you're ok.

...spent the afternoon with Jan_Tekin installing cruise control in both our cars. Despite a couple of incorrect connectors in my kit - requiring some dodgy soldering - we got both cars done and working in about 3 and a half hours. Nice job.

Big thanks to Jan, and to the forum guide thread

Can I have a coffee next time though Jan ?

Went here

The louwman museum Den Haag

Pretty stunning - loved the ecurie ecosse d type, the March F1 6 wheeler ( had on in my scaletric 400 set) , the early mclaren can-Am and the Alfa Romeo room as well as the Toyota gt2000 that piston heads rave about really good museum.

I'm going to cars in the park at Lotherton Hall - I'll look out for Z4s and come and say hello :)

I think I'll put that one on the list for next year - Maybe even this October if we get away to Europe again this year.
SWMBO just loves car museums :P

Yeah it's good Ron - not outstanding but well worth an afternoon visit, the quality of the collection is fantastic its just a little dry in the way it's presented - the early years presentation is large but really not my thing- I understand its significance but tend to wander off to drool at the fifties, sixties and seventies Le Mans and Mille Miglia cars

Walked around a classic car show in Tetbury. A couple of hundred cars there including a zed 3 and quite a few of dubious classic status although a few gems too. Quite a few car clubs, maybe we should make it a meet next year?

I'll post a few pics later, my workstation is currently bogged down transcoding music.

Oh wish I'd known about that, will be up for going next year.

:o -were you ok?-

Yes, fine thanks Andy. Just a bit startled and embarrassed as I was carrying a coffee and a tub of Porridge from Pret, half of which ended up on my trousers! So I then ended up scouring the shops in the station for a new pair. Thank you Joules, for coming to the rescue!!
Phew-glad you are ok :)

Way to go chaps!

Just catching up on this thread - sorry to hear of your day, OG! Glad you're ok though

Today I had a lazy car day - cleaning and waxing the roof (ready for winter), washed and waxed #108, cleared out the roof drains (following a new motor installation 2 weeks ago) and painted the front grills with rubber wrap spray (matte black). Watched a few episodes of Wheeler Dealers and found out there's a new series coming up :D

Polished off the day with a cold beer, and impromptu fly past by a pair of spitfires ...

Locked my keys in the boot :(

2hr round trip later to get spare keys, and I was back in action :headbang:
