Cheers Rialas, advice like that always better late than never :D

I always wondered if that 911 in you avatar was yours - now I know. Love the way your Porker forum avatar is the opposite way round to the one on here

Do you park as adventurously in that one ?

Took the old blade off, was putting the new one on, the arm slipped out my had and the spring SMACKED it down on the screen. Nice star pattern cracks that will only get larger :(

On the plus side, the windscreen had a large badly repaired chip in it when I bought it and is the original so is pitted to hell, so all in all it has been highly offensive to my OCD for some time. Now I get a new one without the guilt of breaking it deliberately

Did the same thing on my Golf many years ago. It's an accident you only ever ley happen to you once. If I remember correctly windscreen excess didn't cost anything back then.

Deserves some photos to preserve my incompetence for posterity :

At least I didn't do a half assed job if it :D

Rialas - wher the hell do you put the cones in the 911 ??

I did exactly the same thing changing a rear wiper on my old Range Rover, thankfully the glass on those is almost bulletproof thick so no damage, but as has already been said, it's something you only do once. On the plus side you'll end up with new wipers and a new screen. :)

Quite - though I used a slightly longer and more vernacular set of phrases at the time :D

DrS - I did test the blades, and they are excellent as you say

Rialas -

Oops... Mrs Lozzer had to have a windscreen replaced recently due to a large stone chip. Auto Windscreen had been to two replacements that morning for exactly the same reason as you... you're obviously in good company Bing!

"too busy" apparently - I guess I am used to having a company car and the screen being replaced in 24-48hrs... Not the case in the consumer world obviously :(

Bing, I know Autoglass are taking a lot longer to do work now, was that time quoted for them to come out to you? is it quicker if you go to your nearest depot?

I think you should abandon this whole weekend away with Mrs Bing stupidity, get on a train, come up to Coventry or Warwick Parkway Railway Station Friday, stay at mine overnight, and come to the Lakes with me on Saturday.. :D

Drshemming, yep, time to get to me, but taking it to them was also Monday :x

Unfortunately Mrs Bing is not a fan of your plan

Andy - no idea mate, I guess they must be ?

Although not technically all today, this week I...

OEM stubby fitted - not the cheapest but reception has been unaffected.

retro fitted cruise control to my 3.0Si.

Parts arrived for retro fitting the wind deflector today. Just need to order the small mesh parts now for inside the hoops (£100 for both!!)

Next, 19" CSL reps, and changing the MFSW for a new one as there are a few marks to the plastics from previous owner.

Went to the Silverstone practice day and took about 1000 pictures (no exaggeration!) This is shaping up to be a looooong editing session...
