I await in anticipation mate! :)

yes considerably cheaper £75 fronts and £121.80 rears although they're out of stock with no due date for the fronts £12p&p

Cheers for the info :)

... carried out a pointless mod! Somebody removed the CD changer from my car at some point. So, I've put it back...

I know, I know. Everyone will be asking 'Why not fit some sort of iPod connection?' Well, the answer is I will be - I've got a Mediabridge going in next week, but I wanted an OEM CD changer to be back in place.

Nuts? Probably...

Fixed my permanently locked cubby. Tried the string in the boot but ended up breaking it because I'm incredibly strong :D Broke into the cubby by pushing the latch up with a homemade trim tool. Sadly there was no hidden treasure left by the last owner. Followed a guide on here and managed to remove the top panel very easily withou breaking any of the tabs. Decided there was no point replacing the failed lock motor as it looked like I'd have to remove lots of trim to get at it so decided to just remove the tabs from the locking block using my precision tool (claw hammer).

Opens and closes no problem now but will never be able to lock. I'm not bothered as it's not like the lock would stop anyone since it only took an amateur crook such as myself a few seconds to get in.

Looks like we were doing a similar thing... I had to dismantle most of the rear centre console in order to fit a CD changer that I'm not going to use...

Today I...... Wrote off my motorbike when some ar$e in an a3 decided to do a wheel spinning U turn without looking or indicating, because his sat nav said he'd gone the wrong way. Ducking woke him up sharpish when I T-boned his drivers door.

'Think bike' chaps please - bruises etc. will heal (managed to hit brakes and slow down to some extent) but beloved bike's unlikely to survive :(

+1. Looks like you had a lucky escape there - could have been so much worse. Are the Police going to prosecute?

^^^ what they said! Glad you're ok, that's the main thing. Hope he's accepted liability too

He's accepted liability so that's something - I was completely innocent cruising upto a red light in a neighbouring lane - could have been the zed  - feel like ive been kicked by an angry horse but I'm still kicking :)

Thanks for concern - think bike tomorrow.

Got a call at midday whilst in Whitchurch that my clients M&S prototype paint didn't leave yesterday, the job needs to be on a wagon by 8am in the morning, so drove south to Leicester to collect then north to Kircaldy to deliver, arrived by 8pm and delivered, now enjoying my Shiraz !

:( don't like to hear about bike crashes, glad you're ok.

In September 2010 I got knocked off my CBR600RR by a little old lady pulling out of a golf club. This week I've finally got everything sorted with solicitors etc. My bike was completely destroyed (I had 2 '08 CBR's, one road, one track only - now I only ride on the track), I got launched 30m through the air and hit a sign. I broke my left radius and ulna in 4 places (hand was waving somewhere near my elbow...) smashed my left wrist to peices, broke all 4 metacarpals in my right hand, degloved my right ring finger and broke 2 other fingers. I hit the car with my right hand, ripping off the door handle with it... Ended up needing 2 1/2 weeks in the QE in B'ham, 6 months off work due to rehab and now have arms/hands full of titanium and some proper man scars. But I feel lucky every day that the rest of me, back/legs/neck/head etc are fine. Very, Very lucky. I work in motorcycle accident repairs and I've never seen a bike in such a state that somebody lived to tell the tale...

This was the bike 1 week before, Performance Bikes magazine borrowed it for a test

Then it looked like this:

So happy it's all sorted now though. Champagne for my girlfriend and I on Friday!

Oh and this is my other pride and joy which makes me not miss my other bike too much:

Absolutely! Ex Biker here and have gotten too afraid to buy another :(

Glad you're in one piece

Cibbers - that's a shocking story and is currently tipping the balance away from a replacement - wonder if I should invest the cash into an M instead - no doubt will change mind back again over next 24 hours :~

Guiseley - I'd never want anybody's crash story put people off riding -it really is a fantastic hobby and if it wasn't for my close family and friends I would still be riding now. There really is no other feeling than riding a bike, nothing else even comes close, but I've made the decision personally as I'd not want to put my mother and my girlfriend through the pain again of nearly losing me, because no matter which way you look at it, motorcycling is a selfish sport - you go out at 6am on a Sunday morning on your own into Wales to hoon around at 3 figure speeds and don't really think of the consequences.
It's part of the reason I'm in the middle of my search for a Z4 coupe - I want something that I can still enjoy in a similar way, but is safer relatively speaking. I'd never say don't do something you really want to do to anyone, because you could get hurt or worse crossing the road or on the bus going to Tesco's. Everybody's reasons for giving up riding on the road are different and you need to make the decision based on your own experiences, not necessarily others :)
It's why I ride on the track now, it's still got the element of danger, just in a controlled environment without trucks, road furniture and little old ladies pulling out on you :D

Cibbers, only really used as a commuting tool - the Z4s more my kind of thing for hitting Wales (or Scotland, or NY Moors, or Alps etc!!). Aches and pains today, but will get out on a bike again - hopefully if mine's written-off I can try some new shiny metal and see how it makes me feel. Wife and kids very understanding :)
