Fitted my forum sticker today - though seems to be more of a transfer, I needed to moisten the back and let it dry before I could peel off the 'white' part of the backing? Looks great though. (apologies for poor pic quality)
New tax disc fitted, boot compartments tidied.
Tried to reset windows - driver side still not doing 'auto up' with button or after roof up... :?
Checked tyre depths - rears on ~4mm, fronts on ~5mm. Time to change?
Insurance renewal in Feb but as I'm 30 this year, price looks a bit lower than last year, c.£700-750...
** EDIT - Haha! The elephant prevails! Beat the quote down to £611 with elephant, £2 for protected NCB.
Ordered a full set of Osram Nightbreaker Plus headlight bulbs In preparation for my pilgrimage to Scotland on the 3rd of Feb, and snuck in some LED sidelights to match while I was at it
Should be fun trying to fit the little b******s when they arrive...
Had a good clean up - fed/cleaned leather, vacuumed, tidied out rubbish etc.
Also tidied boot and tried to fit old cargo net (from my old A3) that's been lurking around the garage. Z4 doesn't have lashing points, but this seemed to work (below).
Removed LED sidelights and put the old bulbs back in because one was faulty
Broke the clips holding the bulb tight inside the casing of my footwell interior light trying to fit the spare working LED - it now flickers occasionally, if it even comes on. Bloody LED was too dim anyway :x Now need a new footwell light if anyone has one spare... Though I may get two new LED ones from eBay for £25... just seems a bit steep :?
Finally - stuck a compressor, two tins of Holts Tyre Weld, a small/short coal shovel, some sub-zero windcreen wash and a bag of sand in the boot for Operation Pilgimage
Fitted a pair colour coded mirror covers to the gf's 500 this afternoon, have been after a pair for a while and i finally managed to bag a pair off ebay for £30.
Well impressed with the look it is so much better than the black plastic ones that were fitted
Should've posted this on friday,i had open wallet surgery when i went to pick up my car from the stealers after having a gearbox leak repaired
Washed off 1,500 miles worth of salt off the car and then gave her a wee polish to put the smile back on her face... Took my niece out for a 20 mile drive, came back - covered in salt dust again :x Got a decent microfibre cloth out and v-e-r-y gently wiped her clean again, much to Mrs Bing's disgust... She just doesn't understand, still
So the pre-clean pics are in cj_eds' "dirty" thread... We were too busy driving to take any when out, it was only 20 miles after all. This is post-wash in the drive, possibly half way through polish as the grills are still slightly dirty - it was taken by my niece, so not sure...
Note blue bonnet badge :x Ordered my new ones today, apparently the bonnet one has long pins a la OEM, so will be screwed on this time
