I dropped my wheels off for refurbishment, now got a nice set off nasty curbed MV2 wheels with crap tyres .

Not all bad as iam off to Gran Canaria for a week so wont have to look at the car

Today I pulled off the standard gearknob avoiding injury and fitted a MOMO polished alloy knob that had been bashing around the garage...............feels great but the better half doesn't like it , says it cheapens the car.

May be back to standard while I look out for a brushed alloy item.

Drooled over these wheels again, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370487252484&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT , trying to the wife an daughter to go half stuff an by me them for my birthday ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Fitted new front and rear brake pads, front roll bar bushes and drop links, maybe tomorrow I'll get to make the most of the sun

Purchased a stubby :) despite not taking delivery for another 6 days :( haha soo excited. Any other choice mods anyone wants to recommend that are reasonably quick but make a real difference..?

fitted new all weather rubber floor mats to replace the aging carpet versions, and replaced some missing cabin screw covers. Tough work, indeed.

Removed BOTH bits of foam from the sound generator.

Holigan-tastic.

I really can't believe the difference in sound that the thing makes with them out!
Not sure I'll leave them both out, as others have said, may get a bit 'boomy' after a while.
Easy to remove the fire-wall end pipe from the N52 engine, just a pain trying to get it back in fully... Took 10 seconds and 10 minutes respectively.

Also gave the car a complete wash, clay, protect and wax today, including vacuuming the interioir, cleaning the interioir glass and treating the leather. Looks and smells like new.

Just bugged now as I've noticed all the microscopic spots of sap that are on the paint - must have come from the tree 20m away after I'd rinsed...

Got my door module fixed for £110 by by CA Auto Electronics www.bmwgm5.co.uk
BMW quote was £950 also saying ther was a problem with the Rear mirror/antenna but nothing was wrong with it, you think they (SYTNER BMW) would know if it was okay wouldn't ya. rob dogs!!!!!!!!!!

... had my OSR spring changed at my local tyre place. Nothing wrong with the old one, but the NSR snapped a few weeks ago and they only had the one in stock. Feels much softer now, maybe part of that is psychological tho :) Was almost tempted to wash, wax and valet, but with rain forecast this week I think I'm going to hold off on that one.

Drilled a hole through the lower storage bin in the centre console (where the CD changer would go) so I can have my iPod/iPhone connected via DICE from inside the car rather than in the boot!

Taking a powerdrill to my Z was an exercise NOT taken lightly...
:? :?
