I spotted the cat, but which one's the niece :?

Sorted out my black wheel centres. I ordered some all black ones last week but wasn't keen so I ended up dyeing the original blue ones black as I did with the front badge. Also painted the exhaust tips black. That just about finishes off the black accenting now - apart from the black stonechip guards in front of the rear wheel arches. The ones that came fitted to the car were huge ugly things so I took them off and I'm now making smaller, reshaped ones - I've done one side and now waiting for some more carbon fibre wrap to arrive, I'll pop some photos on here when they're done.

The black wheel centres - too much black

I like these better

The exhaust tips painted black with high temp engine paint

Booked my ferry crossing for August next year!

Encouraged by an email offering pay 10% deposit and the balance a month pre sailing and a 10 % discount
No such luck, it was a pay in full for the 10% off !
Never mind it's one less holiday bill next year bit I'm £600 lighter now.

I got home to find two demands from the dvla , a £500 and a £285 - it's been an expensive day :(

We wanted to duplicate Slim Pickens without all the drama.

Did this last night at about 1am, though home rather than work related stress... Wasn't actually the best idea ever as the car is not amphibious and as a result it was more of a pootle than a hoon. Oh, and some Big Puddle Moments were a bit scary. Still, it helped :driving:

Went for a lovely drive just as the clouds cleared to leave beautiful clear blue skies.I also stopped off at Brands Hatch and had a nice coffee while watching the bikes go around before heading home for F1.... lovely

Set out to clean my roof drainage pipes.

Went and bought a trolley jack (having only just realised that the Zed doesn't have one - and why should it?).

Got back, put wheel brace on all of the nuts one the offside rear wheel. Couldn't shift any of them. Will have to go and see the nice chaps at WG Tyres at Billingshurst next weekend to see if they can loosen them.

Whilst rummaging around in the vast expanses of the boot looked in the largish bag which I assumed held the wind deflector. It doesn't! It contains two of those strange things that fill up the gaps when the roof is down - in original, unpainted black, seemingly never used. Put them on to see what they look like - I was impressed, although I'd never have spent £100 on buying them. So not a totally wasted afternoon after all.

Um, RickRob... How long have you had your car ?!? I bet there's £20 notes lost down your sofa  Great find though, I really like mine as they cut the wind noise down so much

Was going to wash my car today and use the new DI vessel I bought last week. Sadly WB left £50 worth of rugby kit at the club we played at today, so instead I had a 70min top-down hoon there and back to collect it. Can't really complain though :driving: 8)

Refilled my DI vessel with sand after using the last water up (30 ppm now) for washing the windows in the sun this morning.

Lovely to see them all steam up in the sun and not a streak or mark on them when dry :D

Then the two hour job of cleaning the X5, next week the inside as I ran out of light :?

Took the Zed out on our back roads and found it sliding all over - the roads were wet and filthy again but especially slippy this morning. . . Hay ho - calls for a different approach but still fun to be had.

:driving:
