Fitted new Pagid front Discs and Pads which sorted out my vibrations when braking problem.
Fitted new O-Seal to my down hose temperature sensor which will hopefully cure my coolant leakage.
Fixed the heater on my daughters Ford Focus.
Fixed the back gate.

Today I finished off the polishing work I started yesterday and then went hooning with the wifey to MK to see friends. Was half an hour late because I forgot how much fun round-a-bouts could be....

It looks like it blocks the heater controls, but I can still get at them easily with no dramas, and they are on auto almost all the time anyway. I can also reach the phone real easily. It does feel a bit weird having it there - kind of like having a foreign body in my Z's cabin :?
Anyway, next on the list is fitting the Intravee I bought on here - hopefully later this week prior to the Kent Cruise... Cue lots of questions to Messers Truman, Hutch and pvr when I get it wrong :wink:

Nope, unless you have an M or have fitted a carbon leather dash it comes with tools to fit it. If it's too tight to fit you can remove the centre vents, the stereo head unit and loosen the four screws that hold the dash in place and it will allow just a little more flex.

The gap tools supplied worked fine - it didn't look like there was a gap as the black trim is a little spongey but the tools reduced the pressure enough to hook the top in under the alu panel. It is very cleverly curved so you can do this - in fact the back mount is specifically designed for the car and the bottom edge just hooks into the edge of the panel that your aux port is in. I did actually pop that panel out a little so I could feel it was fitted just right. You need to buy the back mount for your car and the holder for your phone, then screw them together - that was the trickiest bit and was not tricky :wink:
There's lots of options for holders - I got one with the upright bit at the back for more stability, but you really don't need it as it is nice and tight. There are models designed for phones with and without the apple bumper, and for phones with skins, and you can get holders that have a power connection at the bottom fitted so you don't need to keep plugging in the lead... But they were twice the price of the holder I got and weren't worth the extra IMO. I got the 'without bumper or skin' one, even though I do have a very thin skin on mine, and it fits really nicely.

It is really, really thin and follows the moulding of the phone precisely (you need the specific 4 or 4S skin as the buttons are in a slightly different place on each, as I found out
