today i...

Blast on the bike first thing this morning  then to an afternoon outing in the Zed around the beautiful Northumberland coastal route up to Bamburgh Castle.

Realised how uncomfortable the ride is in these E85/E86's, really harsh and choppy on those B roads, comical tbh :?

I think they're all the same!

It's my only girly thing I do and I only buy one make. I don't do shoes (my feet are too big at 9 and a half), don't do make up as can't see the point it's a waste of money if you ask me. Don't do fake tan, nails basically any kind of beauty thing. I'm quite happy with cars, football, rugby and a good whisky. Oh and food and a good set of knives as I love to cook. I wasn't supposed to buy a handbag but I was supposed to order two very rare and sought after bags, which I did. Just have to wait and see if I'll get them but I'm sure they will accommodate my request. They've been good to me so far this year.

Life's all about having what you want if you can! Why not I say?
You sound well balanced to me !

Oh yes most definitely. I do like to save just incase, bmw bills can be a shocker! :D but I'm not like my sister who at 23 saved for a Z4 then put the funds towards her mortgage, ok it knocked 7 years off the term but still is rather have the fun now thanks. But she has kids now, I don't but just incase in maybe 5 years time I do......I'm making the most of life and what it has to offer

Drove the 37miles from my house to Batemans BMW with no music on because my amps broken. Some observations:

1) The straight six engine in these is fantastic, how often do you turn off the music and just listen to it do it's thing?
2) Roof down driving is the way it should be. Anyone who takes the piss out of convertibles surely hasn't driven a car like the Z with the roof down on a nice day
3) The Z is still the car that gets most double takes/admiring glances out of any car I saw on the whole drive
4) Batemans must be starting to like me, lovely 6month old 1series with 10k miles on the clock and all the toys as my courtesy car today.

Ste - i usually (80% of the time) forget to put music on (plug my iphone in) because i'm so contempt with the engine noise. Usually tunes go on in standstill traffic.

Which engine is it in yours? it looks great in the pics.

Haha, i think i'll be driving music-less more often! Mines the 3.0SE mate.

If you think it sounds good on the open road, wait till you hear it on full song in an alpine tunnel! Music

Today I took the car out for the first time - picked a good day and had a drive up the Northumberland Costal route. 11c outbound top down - 2.5c inbound top and heater both on!

I bought a new set of jack stands and changed the oil in the Zed, been wanting to do it since I got it but I've had other pressing issues and was told by the dealer everything was up to date.... Well from what came out of the oil pan I'd hate to see how one would look that needed an oil change. :tumbleweed:

...collected these from srhutch :

I am sooooooo excited :trampoline:

Though I think Mrs B forgot how much I told her they were back in September when I was first offered them, might have some grovelling to do

Oh, and he chucked in a spare side skirt for free - needs some work as it's not perfect, but it's a whole heap better than my current one. Cheers Steve, great to see you today
