Today I have been mostly....

I also use the 2 planks of wood method for jacking up. Where exactly did you place the jack "centrally" to allow you to put axle stands under both jack points, i've been trying to figure this out for a while...

EDIT: typo :)
Absolutely centre line of the car just behind the diff is a hard point where two fairly heavy duty tie rods bolt to the chassis - my trolley jack has a cup that will just allow the two bolts (the bolts that hold the ends of the tie rods) to fit inside, so it's pretty secure and lifts perfectly.

I would love to have been working on a car today....instead I was stuck behind a desk at work
Crap - I'm lucky enough that most of my weekends are mine - to wash the car.... Although when my neighbour came home she was jaw dropped at me taking the wheels off to clean them - she then kindly explained that I need a hobby or a girlfriend... Haha...

Hour's road trip (top down, of course) to Dalby Forest and went on a four-mile hike through the woods. The temp was 15-16 degrees and it was lovely and sunny

Today I've mainly been fitting sports seats from an XFR into my XF.
Cool ebay find of a full interior from a less than 12 month old car yielding these seats that are way over £5k a pair, for a few hundred and to follow a complete piano black interior and set of door cards:

Photos don't do justice - 18 way adjustment seats including inflatable side bolsters, electric head restraint, Peltier air heating and cooling system.

I unloaded our new kitchen that arrived today then moved it upstairs , did run to the local dump as we cleared out an old room, painted one coat on the new room, washed the Zed and finshed off the splitter I fitted ... busy day

Today we went out for Breakfast, Then came home, watched Football, then watched rugby, Then I made dinner, Then watched Movie, then logged on here.

I am havin me a Saturday off Jury still out about tomorrow :D

I drove my zed to lakeside (large shopping centre), bought a few bits, drove home. Lunch with friends. Went to the gym, to use the jacuzzi, steam & sauna. Now sitting in front of the tele relaxing, whilst browsing for ideas on kitting out the garage.

She obviously doesn't understand cars and the fact that they are a hobby! :driving:

Yeah, but it was quite funny when she stares open mouthed at me with the car on axle stands and me working a wheel on a table - slow shaking head walk away - was quite funny.
