Today I had a strange shopping experience...

..... quite surreal really. Went to Sainsbury's to do the weekly shop early this morning to avoid the heat, to be greeted by a store in complete darkness, apart from the chilling cabinets and the tills, the lights were out due to reasons beyond the store's control. Staff were available on every aisle and at the entrance to help shoppers with torches, in case they needed help finding items or reading labels, etc. . Touch of genius by the manager I feel. 4 yr old loved it of course, and was playing ghost hunter in the aisles !

When you see staff doing that sort of thing to help, it actually makes you less inclined to moan and complain I reckon!

I can see why your 4 year old found it fun!! :D

Is it just me, but I do think Sainsbury stores are on the whole well managed? Our local one is hugely involved in local community.

I'm kind of jealous of your four year old too - sounds a blast

Its a bit like when you visit someone and they hide and pretend not to be in...... :D

They must have seen you coming down the road .......

of course once you were in they had to come up with something

Does that happen to you often ? :poke:

They couldn't miss me coming down the road, what with my being in the coolest car on the A6 :driving:

TBH I am only shopping there at the minute, as been sent some really good money off vouchers. They tend to be understocked and have quite a few empty shelves. I am impressed by their customer service whenever I go though. They probably have to be good though as they have Asda, M&S Simply Food, Co-0p & Waitrose all in close proximity.

Sure you just didn't still have your sunglasses on?

Sainsburys in Oadby? Not one of their best! Waitrose is better, just down the road.

TBH I love ASDA!
